FAQ

Deodorants fight bacteria which are responsible for body odour. They contain deodorising actives which prevent bacterial growth. Anti-perspirants contain anti-perspirant actives – that reduce the release of sweat from the sweat glands. Anti – perspirants also have a deodorising effect as they inhibit bacterial growth due to a lower pH content and reduction of moisture in the under arm.

The development of stains/ colored stains in clothes is mostly caused by trace metals in the tap water (e.g. copper, manganese, iron) or fluorescent whitening agents. Coloured stains on light-coloured clothes might also appear when a coloured piece of dress worn beneath or above loses its dye.

Our skin is our largest organ and absorbs whatever we slather onto it and our underarms, in particular, are a sensitive area full of nodes and glands. So, when it comes to regular use of antiperspirant or deodorant, we must be sure that every deo/antiperspirant must be non-toxic.

Many deodorants and antiperspirants available today contain ingredients that are proven or thought to be harmful to human health. Even worse, some ingredients either don’t have any safety data available or have never been tested for toxicity. As such, we must be extra vigilant to check thoroughly before we buy the product.

Check whether the deodorants are 100% non-toxic, so that they can be used safely on kids and little ones. Further, consult with your physician before you use it on children.
